Rare matrix opal called in sanskitik Kalimaya, in long oval shape with triplet opal in deep dark greenish- purplish color and mystic light in a sterling silver base with Italian diamond cut sterling silver chain of 20 inches long.
In Indonesia Opal was known as “Kalimaya” a name also derived from the Japanese word “Kali” meaning a “river” and the Sanskrit “maya” meaning “an illusion” and hence the stone was a “river of illusion”
the mines are in Lebak Baten Indonesia.
